A Day Away is a beautiful brainstorm by mother/daughter team, LeighAnne and Lolly Castimore. We simply want to put smiles on the faces of those who give up a portion of their independence to support their loved ones.
Caregiving should always be supported and celebrated.
Meet LeighAnne
LeighAnne is our Co-Founder and President. Parent to Henry who blew up her ordinary life in 2010 and turned it into something extraordinary while she continues to learn more about profound autism each day. A parent and caregiver for life! Aside from her dedication to A Day Away and her family, LeighAnne loves to tend her flower garden and eat snacks.
Meet Lolly
Lolly is our Co-Founder and Vice President. Little sister to Henry, she was born into caring for her brother by guiding him to safety, pushing him to break out of his safe spaces and giving him the peer attention he needs. Lolly is a dedicated student, an avid tennis player and pet-mother to her two chickens and yorkie.
